Radiant Living Center Announces Spring Fun Fair

O

n April 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Radiant Living

Center will be holding its Spring Fun Fair, an event for the entire family. Join the fun and experience a variety of professional wellness practitioners as they share their giſts and talents. Sessions run between five and 20 minutes—specific to the therapist and what they are offering—at a cost of no more than a dollar a minute, so that attendees may choose to experience several different modalities. Tickets are sold at the door for ses- sions, but admittance is free so everyone is welcome to peruse the offerings before purchasing tickets. Vendors will offer acupuncture; healing touch sessions;

gemstone healing sessions; energy healing sessions; reiki sessions; sound healing sessions with gongs and singing bowls; ener- getic clearings; intuitive reading for guidance; and essential oils therapy, as well as caricature drawings and more. Healthy food trucks will be available for food purchases, and vendors will offer crystals, stones and jewelry for purchase. Radiant Living Center is pleased to offer this event as part of

the opportunities it provides to the community that nourish one physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Location: 6051 N. Brookline, Suites 126 and 127, OKC. For more information, contact Joious Melodi at 405-740-6813 or visit RadiantLivingOK.com. See ad, page 27.

Cannabis: A Natural Treatment for Postpartum Depression

T

he stigma attached to moth- ers that use cannabis can

be discouraging. It is important to remember that this stigma is due to a lack of education about what cannabis is and how it is used. Ignorance oſten creates fear and uncertainty, and many people assume that individuals that choose to use cannabis to take care of their body and mind must be neglectful or unfit parents. Tis is simply unfair. Te presence of social media and the constant barrage of ad-

vertisements and “news” stories can sway our opinions on certain topics, oſten unfairly. For example, a YouTube video that portrays an abusive parent high on drugs that goes viral may determine how we view a plant like cannabis. Choosing a natural plant such as cannabis to treat a variety

of different ailments, including postpartum depression, can be an extremely effective, non-pharmaceutical option for mothers. Unlike many prescription treatment options, there is no long list of dangerous side effects for cannabis use. It is a safe, natural way to treat many conditions.
