20 Maidstone East April 2019 Work atMeadowbank

BEARSTED Parish Council is looking tomake themost of land known as Meadowbank, at the top of Bell Lane and next to the footpath to HampsonWay. Wehave re-surfacedthepathway,

tidied up the entrance, and installed new fencing and a gate for easier access. There are some diseased ash trees that need attention and,

once addressed, the council will be looking at howto improve this area. There has been an approach to

graze sheep on the land, which will help to reduce overgrown vegeta- tion. The renovation will be an on- going project and the parishcouncil welcomes ideas from residents on how best to use this recreational area.
