since they opened in April 2005. The nursery was opened by husband and wife team Dan and Tina Powick who were childminders in Woodbridge at the time. They have since looked after several hundred children and received an outstanding award in the most recent Ofsted inspection. They were the first nursery in Suffolk to have web cams so that parents are able to watch their children securely on line and they also opened Bridge Farm Day Nursery in Martlesham in 2008. Dan credits the success of the nurseries to the staff, 'We have been very lucky that many of our staff have been with us 10 years or more including our Manager and Deputy Manager at both nurseries. All staff show amazing dedication and care to the children and take their roles very seriously.'
SAX FREE SCHOOL Saxmundham Free School winners of the 2019 Dora Love Prize
Saxmundham Free School shared the top honours in this year’s Dora Love Prize – an annual competition which
aims to ensure atrocities of genocide are never forgotten, and that students develop a sense of personal responsibility for the world we live in today.
Students from the School designed a board game which could be played in two ways, contrasting the journey of a modern day refugee to the UK with that of someone from the Kindertransport in 1938. The board game will be displayed at the National Migration Museum in London. EASTON & OTLEY Easton & Otley College are a land-based college with campuses in Easton and also Otley, Ipswich.
