Kendrick School is a selective girls’ state school with academy status. We welcome students who are currently in Year 5 and their parents who are considering secondary school options for September 2020 to our Open Evening on:


Thursday 25th April 2019, 5pm – 8pm


Kendrick School is a successful ‘outstanding’ school and if your daughter is showing academic potential at her primary school and has an enquiring mind and a love of learning, please come along to our Open Evening to find out more about us. There will be tours of the school with an opportunity to meet students and staff, and talks by the Headteacher, Ms Kattirtzi, at 5.15pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm. You will also be able to find out more and ask questions about the entrance test procedure at admissions talks taking place during the evening.

If your son is currently showing potential academically and has a desire to join our community, then please come along to the open evening to find out more.


The Headmaster and Admissions department will give talks throughout the evening when further information explaining the entrance test procedure will be given. The last talk will take place at 8.00pm with the last tour of the school site leaving at 7.30pm. No booking required. Car parking is not available on the school site.

Admission into Year 7 in September 2020


Admission to Year 7 in September 2020 is by entrance examination. The test consists of two papers assessing verbal, numerical and non-verbal ability. A familiarisation booklet will be available on both schools’ websites from mid-March 2019.


Testing will take place on Saturday 14th September 2019 at both schools, and parents will be able to register their child online for the test from 1st May 2019 and no later than midnight on Friday 14th June 2019. Parents


will receive notification of the test outcome prior to the deadline for completion of the Common Application Form.


In both schools, students who are eligible for the pupil premium or service premium living within the school designated areas, or is a child in care, will be prioritised for admission and the qualifying score will be lowered by 5 marks for these students.


Both Kendrick School and Reading School operate a designated area as part of their


respective oversubscription criteria. The address which will be used for consideration for this purpose will be the applicant’s permanent address at 31st August 2019.
