Easter activities for young families at the Windsor & Royal


Borough Museum Get inspired at the Windsor & Royal Borough Museum by joining in with their family activities every Tuesday and Thursday during the school holidays. Young visitors can create a window inspired by architecture in Windsor; explore the uniform of the Household Cavalry Regiment by dressing up as a Blues and Royals soldier and engage with Windsor’s local history through an Easter themed trail. In addition, visitors can listen to stories about life in Windsor and enjoy their craft and design display. Guided tours of the Guildhall will also be available at certain times. fun at MERL At The Museum of English Rural Life in Reading, have fun with Easter and ladybird themed make and takes, including a dancing ladybird, rocking chicks and rabbits, and a potato printing workshop! Follow the Easter trail and have fun looking for the rabbits, chicks and ladybirds hidden in the lovely MERL garden. Jelly is also running another of its popular Arts and Heritage Clubs, so book your place early and earn a Discover Arts Award! On April 9th, The MERL is teaming up with Reading Museum for an exciting Ladybird Books Family Fun Day with activities at both museums and a new trail to follow between them! Tuesday 9th April they will host their joint Ladybird Books Family Fun Day with The MERL and the fun continues with some Ladybird Hotel activity, Egg-stravaganza Edible Sweet Making and Balloon Bunnies & Chicks Make & Take. They also have special trail days, including their popular Medieval Animal Trail and Escape Room Trail. Families of children with sensory conditions can drop in to their Early Birds and Late Owls sessions and younger visitors can enjoy a story in the weekly Tales for Tots on Wednesdays.
