INDUSTRY NEWS

want the immediacy of news. We all now have mobile phones or tablets for both our day to day communication and things like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn but also for work. At the end of last year and into the start of this year we have listened to views of the individuals who have requested IMT magazine, it is the diversity of industries our readers operate in that has driven the changes implemented this year by expanding our news base to not only report on tube/pipe but areas such as sheet, plate, coil and strip metal. As ever, we do not stand still nor do we follow the trends of others nor are we bound by association or corporate rules. We follow our reader’s needs. Another aspect of change is the increase in the number of E-newsletters

W

sent out each year from 4 to 6 so we can deliver news every month, all this activity is backed up on the website for global access. The key changes incorporated into how we deliver our content/news can be summarised as per the three points below and in the order they are sent to the readers worldwide. Delivery of each issue is via the Full issue PDf and emailed within hours of

the issue’s completion. Each issue is also loaded onto the website as a full issue digital file for easy access. Subscribers printed copies are now sent via sea mail as a file copy. Further developments are scheduled for later in the year but for now

the next E-newsletter is scheduled for the end of March, news submissions are required no later than march 22nd and should be as a word document supported by a print ready image and sent to imtmagazine@virginmedia.com The next issue of IMT is April and will be looking at Tube/Pipe forming,

Coiling, uncoiling and cut to length technology plus Inspection, measuring & testing, news submissions should be between 150 and 250 words with a supporting print ready image and arrive no later than April 19th.
