Derbyshire rider lands the Winter Grand Prix at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre

Six of the initial 25 starters managed to produce a first round clear over course designer Phil

Ashworth’s 11 fence track and only two went on to produce double clears. Kerry and the ever-green Wellington M put their experienced partnership to good use by shaving almost two seconds off the time of their closest rivals, crossing the line in 39.19 seconds, ahead of Laura Renwick and her two rides, Novita Jovial Z and Friso (second and third respectively).

2019 is shaping up to be a great year for them, too, winning the overall ridden championships at Oaklands Winter Woollies. They also won the ridden class, best turned out and took second in the style and performance at the same show.
Abbie and Marley are aiming to attend the Royal Windsor Horse Show again this year, having competed in the first ridden class last year.

Competing at the British Dressage Winter Regionals
As we went to print, Alex Houldcroft had just ridden at the British Dressage Winter Regionals held at Summerhouse Equestrian Centre.
Alex and her seven year old mare, Cavallina Herself had spent a lot of time preparing for their first time competing in a novice and a novice dressage to music test at regional level.
“In fact, it was only our fourth attempt at a music class, so I was thrilled to finish second and qualify for the nationals,” said Alex. “I was extremely lucky back in the summer to win my first ever regional title.

Shrewsbury based young rider heads to France
ily Freeman-Attwood, 17, is no stranger to the spotlight and has appeared on numerous junior and young rider show jumping teams for Great Britain with her team of equally talented ponies. Aged 17, Lily has now moved out of the pony levels and made her horse debut a winning one by taking the Under 25 Grand Prix at the 5* Jumping Amsterdam World Cup with her new partner Karibou Horta.

Lily has now left Shropshire to base herself with her trainer Guy Williams in France and
will continue to compete all across Europe with team selection her aim.
