Relishing the daily challenge of managing the varying complexities of the international movement of goods, Luke has progressed from office junior to the position of branch manager for his current employer Daily Groupage Services.
The Apprentice of the Year Award – sponsored by Outsource Training & Development Winner: Thomas Turner of Panalpina World Transport Judges’ comments: Thomas was nominated for the Apprentice of the Year award by his manager at Panalpina having impressed with his commitment and ambition. Completing his apprenticeship attached to the Ocean Export Customer Service team in Manchester, Thomas also oversaw the introduction of new customs software within the office ensuring that all staff were trained and that testing was undertaken prior to implementation. Thomas impressed the judging panel with his drive and ambition for the future, acknowledging that he must further refine his skills and develop a greater understanding of the industry in order to reach his potential.
