FROM THE EDITOR

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018 came to a

sorrowful end. We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of our

showjumping hero, Tim Stockdale. In this issue we pay tribute to the legend.

We were also very sorry to hear of the loss of another showjumping great, Ted Edgar.

In November I travelled up to Bolesworth and was lucky enough to meet up with leading competition stallion Ramiro B. He too became a victim of 2018, and passed away in early December after being diagnosed with irreversible kidney failure. His frozen semen is available with a Live Foal Guarantee at a price of £850 plus VAT. On the plus side, the end of the year stages two great shows: Olympia and Liverpool International. I was lucky enough to attend both, with this being my first visit to Liverpool. What a fantastic show it is, with something for all the family. I highly recommend it for the 2019 diary.

It’s all systems go here at CHN as we have now extended the area we cover, to encompass 18 counties. We are keen to hear stories of local riders and horses, as well as reports from local events. Please drop me an email if you have something you would like us to include in a future issue.

Heather.
