IIMS launches a new membership benefit – audio training podcasts


A new member benefit is announced and is freely available to be accessed with immediate effect. Over the course of the past 18 months, IIMS had made a number of video and audio files from a whole range of training sessions it has carried out on an array of surveying topics.


IIMS has now brought an initial collection of thirty plus audio podcasts together in one place on the website under the title of ‘Train as you Travel’. A member must be logged in to the web site (using their normal credentials). Once logged in, a member can choose to play an audio podcast directly from the web page, or may select to download it to their device to play anytime on the move. It does what it says on the tin – train as you travel.


This valuable content will grow as more recordings are made and become available. Some examples of what you can access and listen to now include:


- Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges and how to use them - Marine Warranty and Assurance Surveying for Offshore Wind Farms - Latest trends in Surveying using new techniques for Evidence Collection - The Basics of Coatings Technology - Cash Flow Management - The Role of a P&I Club Surveyor - A Surveyor’s Duty of Care


The podcasts run from as little as ten minutes to over two hours and the content can be accessed at https://bit.ly/2Pl4eQs, but remember you must be logged in to the website to view and then hear or download your chosen content.
