Olivia Collins Makes the most of her 1st AMHA Youth World Show

One of the tiniest equestrians from this year’s

American Miniature Horse World Show was Olivia Collins, from Spring, Texas whom showed the Minia- ture horse, La Vista Allure by MG, aka “Mardi” owned by friend Bridget Yates. The nine day event was held at the Will Rogers Equestrian complex in Fort Worth and in 2019, will coincide with the Select Quarter Horse World Show in August. This was Olivia’s first year at the AMHA Youth

World Show. She participated in Showmanship at hal- ter, Senior Mares Halter, and Senior Geldings Halter in the 7 years old and under division. Olivia and Mar- di won Reserve World Champion in the Senior Mare class.

Olivia has competed at many local shows, but

this World Show was very special as she received her very own Miniature horse that she named “Bubble- gum.” Olivia can easily work with her new horse as he is very gentle and already knows how to jump obsta- cles and show in halter. Olivia plans to show him next year in August at the AMHA World Show held in Fort Worth. Olivia and her mom, Susie, also take Bubble- gum for nursing home visits where Susie’s happy face and Bubblegum’s soft coat make the elderly patients smile. There is no better medicine than the love of a good horse, no matter how small! See the “Horse For Everyone” for yourself at www.amha.org. w
