ting him ready. He’s very broke, and really easy and fun to show,” she said. The Reserve Championship was worth an additional $3,293.

There was a three way tie for the Championship of the Non Pro Levels 3-1 with all exhibitors scoring a 215.5. George Lawrence, Stoney Russell, and Jillane Brown all also tied for third in the Non Pro Level 4. Lawrence won $4,815.37, while Russell and Brown, who also tied for the Prime Time title, took home $5,512.

Lawrence was riding his horse

Time For The Gunshow, by Gunners Special Nite out of Miss Timed To Shine. “He was really pure in there. He turned really well. We could have stopped better, so we’ll work on that, but he was good. He was about as hon- est as it gets,” Lawrence said. “I didn’t have a game plan for today. We just winged it and he was fun.”

Jillane Brown purchased her mare

KR Ima Dream from Casey Hinton. “I’ve had her a couple weeks. She’s with Sam Smith now, and I love her,” Brown said. “We were just wanting to go in and have a nice quiet run. I knew she’d be there in my circles for me, so I ran here harder there. I wanted to be quiet in my turnarounds, and knew she’d be there in my stops. She nailed every stop.” KR Ima Dream is by Magnum Chic Dream out of KR Ima Tejon. “She’s sweet, quiet and curious, and very good-minded,” Brown said. Stoney Russell of Longview, Tex-

as, didn’t expect his score with Whata Special Nite to hold, so after competing he went back to work. “I went early in the draw. Mathieu called me before the end and said it was still holding, but I couldn’t get back for the awards in time,” Russell said.

Stoney and his wife Stuart pur-

chased Whata Special Nite, by Gun- ners Special Nite out of SLJ Sweet N Juicy, from Lindy Longfellow. “He’s a really nice horse. He’s good-minded and when you walk into the pen there is nothing that bothers him,” he shared. Complete results can be found at

Green Hunter Incentive Cont from page 10

She ended up champion a few times, and she was the circuit leader in the [Green Hunter 3’] when we left at Week 8. She just got bigger and prettier. I’ve done her in the Adults a few times, and she’s really straightforward and uncompli- cated.”

Gibson explained that she does about 12 horse shows a year and usually gives the horses time off in the summer. Sincerely was coming off a relaxing summer, when the Championship came up at the Harvest Show. “We ripped her out of the field, and she won the whole thing!” said Gibson with a smile. Brian Lenehan and Lyman Whitehead judged the Central Championships, which marked the last of five regional championships available to USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Program participants for the first time this year. The USHJA introduced the opportunity as an- other benefit to enrolling in the Green Hunter Incentive Program, in addition to year-round stake classes and the Platinum Performance/ USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Champion- ships. Dates for 2019 will be available soon on the USHJA website. USHJA extends a special thank you to

Patrick Rodes and the entire Southbound Show Management team for hosting the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Central Champion- ships.

USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Program participants may choose which regional cham- pionship they would like to attend; however, horses may only compete in one regional cham- pionship per year. Each regional championship consists of two rounds, and the combined total score for both rounds determines the winner. Prize money is awarded through 12th place, and each championship offers a minimum of $10,000 in prize money spread across all the sections offered. Horses must be enrolled in the program to be eligible to participate. “These programs and the people who have put them together, like Colleen McQuay... we owe them,” said Mackenzie. “Their work on these programs has been incredible, and they are really helping our industry. They are help- ing people afford to bring young horses along by adding great prize money to the Green Hunt- ers.”
