breed Fall Fun Show October 6 in Socorro, NM. There was a tie for Level 1 Amateur HP, between Letha Rushing (Von More Round) and Sue Bragg (Born To Be Fabulous). Other HPs were Brenda Schlote (Am/Zippo Del Oro), Philip Atencio (Lvl-1-Am-WT/ Bud Shines), Liam Powell (Y/You Misbehavin), Addison Wells (Y-Rookie + Lvl-1-Y/NMSU Smartin Off), and Athena Johnson (Lvl-1-Y-WT/Lucky Detail).


South LA Team Sorting Assoc’s October 6 event, held at Port Allen


Arena, yielded winning teams including Ronnie Horn/Brady Gourges (Youth), Kerry Simon/Hank Moss (#8W4Inc-2ManRanch), Wiley Lind- sey/Charlotte Blanchard/Andrew Zito (#15W7Inc-3Man-2Gate), Joseph Zito/Charlotte Blanchard/Ronnie Horn (#14W9Inc/Team Penning), and Hank Moss/Joseph Zito (Open-2Man-Ranch). Thanks to Laura Crook, Rob Morris, and Jessica Seymour, the show ran smoothly without delays.


Tri-County Arena Winter Jackpot Series hosted its first event for


this season on October 6, at Tri-County Arena, Hensley, AR. Winners in- cluded Caitlyn Beckwith (Open-Jackpot/16.319/Chicagos Lil Jewel) and Jeri Holland (Y-Jackpot/16.958/Sugar).

tober 6, at Royce Ranch in El Reno. Contestants earning both HP and ver- satility challenge championships included Debbie Dunsworth (All-Age/ War Chip Joewood), Cheryl Dixon (Nov-Am/Corinnes Last Star), and David Burgard (Rookie/Power Spike). Other HPs were Christa Stone (Am/Holly- wood Hot Sauce), Brooke Carpenter (Y/Ms Peppy San Cutter), and Mary Ann Branch (Nov-Y/Smart Jimmy). Other versatility challenge champs were Kim Owen (Am/Boogies Windy Jac), Kelly Larson (Y/Rhythm N Gold), and Ruth Larson (Nov-Y/Rhythm N Gold).


OK Buckskin Horse Assoc’s October 6-7 show, held at Claremore


Expo, was fun-filled. ABRA HPs were Becky Hodge (Am/Heza Mac Buck), Tina Dawson (Open/Mr Ultimate Dream), and Mattie Harrison (Youth/Miss Barbie Cody Jac). All-breed HPs included Faren Anderson (Adult/A Nite To Remember), Hudson Luessenhop (14-18/Pretty OK), and Alexandria DelGrosso (10-13/R Cash Is Flashy).

HPs at the next day’s Ranch Horse Show went to Leah Tate (13&U/Fancy Gay Girl), Cindy Swartzel (14-18/Smartly Sweetened), Kaila Tomlin (19&O + Sr-Horse/Hickory Dixie Doll), Shannon Pigott (Jr-Horse/Stylin Golinda), Lucy Hoppe (Never Won a Buckle/Sterling), and Susan VanCleve Jung (WJ/Gotta Gun Hun).


The Central Texas Barrel Racing Assoc Finals was held October


13-14 in Llano. Logan Moore and Frenchmans Gracie’s 15.505 won Sat- urday’s Open 1D, and Jamie Steiner and SC Dirty Little Secret’s 15.270 won that Sunday. Cressent Nickes was both Open and Adult Incentive Champion. Kaitlynn Hickman was All-Around and Poles Champion, while Kelly Chapman was Sr Champion. Susan Richardson won the Martin Sad- dle Drawing ($3,500-value).


The 2018 Double Rainbow Farm and North LA Equestrian Asso-


ciation show season ended October 20 at Double Rainbow’s facility in Haughton. Finals winners were Emilie North (Mini-Hunter/Merci Beau- coup) and Brett Youss (Hunter-Derby/Inn The Spotlight). Emilie North was also high-point rider.

champions Joe Gotti (Open/Ubet Ima Gold Watch), Craig Rideau (NP/Made To Shine), Scott Long (Jr-Horse/Deuce), Debra Motichek (Am/Nics All In), Bettie Fauntleroy (Nov/Vibrant Future), Danae Cowart (14-18/Little Uno Lea), and Cathryn Dionne (13&U/Anakin Sky Jumper).


Texas Palomino Exhibitors Assoc’s Halloween Spectacular, held


October 20-21, was lots of fun, with the Halloween costume class and pot luck supper. HPs were Patrick Mackenzie (Ch-H-WT), Callie Rogers (10- 18-WT), Barbara Landrum (Am-WT & Sr-Horse), Brittni Greinter (Am), Robyn Zumar (Am-Select + AB-19&O), and Allison Rassinoux (Jr-Horse).


World Wide Productions’ October 21 event, held in Fort Worth’s


Cowtown Coliseum, paid out $18,441. Summer McCauley and Moon Light Jazz won the Open 1D with 13.948. It featured a record number of entries, 112, up from 75 last year. Fernando Salgado, Aubrey, topped the leader- board on Stars and Sparks, owned by Oldenburg Farm LLC.
