I’ve interviewed this adorable Frenchman before; when he speaks his accent is like being massaged with a very soft glove, however so you can understand everything we chat about, I’ve written it in straight up English! One of the most highly acclaimed chefs with more awards than you can shake a stick at, he is also incredibly realistic about life, telling me that the highlight of his incredible career has to be having his children. We chat about Christmas traditions, his hugely popular academy, why he loves meeting people and how even before his son’s battle with cancer he would give generously to anyone who asked. One of these fine days I’m going to book into his cookery school, if not to stop me burning everything I cook, then to hear that fabulous accent again!
