Northamptonshire Business Awards 2018 Employer of the Year What the judges said

“Teamwork Trust are deserved winners. A fabulous people development strategy that has delivered amazing results despite limited resources. A particularly

strong strategic narrative and focus on employee voice. Others could learn much from Teamwork Trust in terms of giving direction and listening to their people.”

Teamwork Trust receive their award from Paul Beesley of Beyond Theory Winner: Teamwork Trust

A charity which supports adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities is the Employer of the Year. Teamwork Trust was recognised for its strategic approach to learning and development and the role its people play in helping it achieve its objectives. Strategic director John Bruce said: “As a social

care charity it’s wonderful to be recognised for our investment in all the people that come through our centres from the communities we serve. It shows our staff, volunteers, trustees and members feel engaged with the charity’s learning processes and able to ask for opportunities – if those

opportunities meet our business needs we’re delighted to accommodate them.” Teamwork Trust provides enabling and

education projects, activities and counselling programmes from its bases in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough. It helps individuals to make new friends, access education and employment experience and regain self-esteem and confidence. John added: “Teamwork remains mindful of

the Care Act and the rights of those who are vulnerable in our communities. A society is judged on how it cares for its most vulnerable and we look forward to commenting on government proposals on Social Care when the Green Paper is published this autumn.” The Employer of the Year category was sponsored by Beyond Theory.
