JIMMY FARRAR DIES Jimmy Farrar passed away on October
29, 2018 at the age of 68. Jimmy was lead singer for Molly Hatchet from 1980-82. He died from complications from congestive heart failure, and kidney and liver failure. He had suffered three heart attacks in 2017, and had undergone bypass surgery. Born on Dec. 8, 1950 in La Grange,
Ga., Farrar got his start in the local Raw En- ergy Band where he met Rocky Manbrettie, a former roadie for Molly Hatchet. Manbrettie got Farrar's demo tape into the band man- ager's hand, and Farrar was offered the job shortly after Molly Hatchet parted ways with then-singer Danny Joe Brown. He made his recorded debut on 1980's
platinum-selling Beatin' the Odds. Take No Prisoners followed a year later, before Farrar split from the band and original lead singer Danny Joe Brown returned. After Molly Hatchet, he sang in Predator, Section 8, the Southern Rock All-Stars and the Dixie Jam Band. Farrar later formed Gator Country, a band comprised of former members of Molly Hatchet.

ED KING Dear Kudzoo, Thank you for running your classic interview with Ed King. It was full of great stories. I was devistated to learn of his death, but reading the interview made me smile. I met Ed some years ago before the Tribute tour and we sat talking for over two hours. It is one of my happiest memories. Thanks again!
