World Tour in March and perform through- out 2019 at festivals, theaters and historic venues. #theroadgoesonforeverot everyone can say they are not only in a top selling band in their 80’s, but have started up a new band as a “side project,” but that’s exactly what Charlie Daniels has done. He had always wanted to play with drummer James Stroud, so along with CDB bassist Charlie Hayward and Billy Crain (The Outlaws, brother of long time CDB member Tommy Crain) they formed the Beau Weevils and recorded their debut album Songs in the Key of E. (Review this issue). Be on the lookout for appearances by these youngsters soon. . .. In October, Billy Crain’s wife Sandy suf- fered traumatic injuries in a fall. At press time Billy had just posted the following on Face- book: “I have really sad news. Dallas, Stella, and myself just got back from visiting Sandy at the hospital. The results came back from her latest CT Scan and at some time during all of this, she has had a stroke. It could have been what made her fall so hard and receive such horrendous injuries. Tomorrow the Neu- roloical team will start assessing her. She will probably stay in ICU the rest of the week and then to Vanderbilt. They don't know how much, if any, she will recover movement on her right side. She is in grave danger of blood clots so please keep praying. I love you all and keep the faith!!!” We at Kudzoo are keeping Sandy in our prayers. . . •
