Educational videos for theatre-goers
Disney’s hit West End musical Aladdin has launched a video library to accompany its education programme. In addition to its existing resources for KS2 and KS3, nine short fi lms have been produced to help pupils preparing to see the show and develop their knowledge and understanding of theatre. The videos explore all aspects of show production, from set and costume design to music and dance development, and workshops for pupils aged seven and over are also available. Find out more and view the resources for Aladdin and other musicals at

RECYCLING
OLD UNIFORM Has you school had a uniform overhaul for the new school year? It can be difficult knowing what to do with the all old uniform, as it often can’t be recycled through the normal textile channels. We recommend asking your local Rotary Club or Lions Club for a lead on where to send uniform, as they may have a link to an overseas school that might want it. You could also ask your Local Education Authority for advice.
QUESTION A LORD #LordsLive gives pupils the opportunity to question a Member of the House of Lords from your school or classroom. Pupils aged 10-18 can take part in these live question-and-answer sessions via Skype. The House of Lords recommends a group of 50 pupils take part, but smaller or larger groups are also feasible, and a mix of ages are welcome to attend the same session. Online resources are available to accompany the experience, including an activity pack to use with students before and after the session. Book your slot online at
parliament.uk/ education/outreach-in-your-school.
