Last month, the Saunton Road Studios team put on another great weekend of live music at On The Road Music Festival. One of the local artists who played at the festival was Becky Loney. Becky played with a full band consisting of some amazing local talent – Lee Thommen, Gary Mitchell, John Bangham and Frank Rawle.
Becky Loney is a singer/song writer from North Devon and we caught up with her to find out more:
“As far back as I can remember, I have always loved being creative. I took up piano lessons at a young age and music soon became my passion. I would consider myself to be a soul/jazz/pop singer and over the years, I have had the privilege of working with many varieties of bands and musicians. Supporting the likes of Courtney Pine, Soweta Kinch and The Overtones, I have also sung backing vocals for Reef at The Bristol O2 Academy & The Factory Petroc, Barnstaple.
In January this year I released my first EP called 'Shelter' which is available on iTunes, Amazon and through my website
beckyloney.com. I am fortunate enough to work with some of North Devon’s finest musicians and I'm pleased to say, I am working on my next EP which will be very different from the first!”
