HEREFORD CATHEDRAL SCHOOL


HEREFORD CATHEDRAL SCHOOL students celebrated outstanding A-Level results in August. With 90% of grades awarded A* to C and 70% A*-B grades, this marks another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the school.


More than half of all A-Level students at the school achieved nothing less than a B grade. Over a quarter achieved all A*/As, including three remarkable students who secured all A*s.


Seven subjects gained 100% grades A*-B with particularly strong results in the Arts and traditionally difficult subjects, including Economics, English Literature, Maths and Physics.


The very first A-level results for the school's new Mandarin and Psychology courses performed extremely well with 80% of Mandarin students achieving an A grade and 83% of grades A*-B in Psychology.


Headmaster, Paul Smith explained how proud he was of all


students, saying: “I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of both students and staff has paid off with the vast majority of students, across the ability range, able to secure a place at the university of their choice.”
