ANDREA SARTORI ORIENTALIST FINE ART


Italo-Argentine Andrea Sartori is a sought- after and established artist based in Herefordshire. Sartori is presenting Eastern culture in a series of Romantic anecdotal oil paintings. Highly decorative, the tableaux invite introspection on viewer’s motives and level of openness to other cultures, and attempts to ease tension with illustrative Persian tales out of the Arabian Nights.


Sartori works with the typology of the rural communities and focuses on the lifestyle, rather than a commonality of Spirit or religious habits thereby making the subject non-confrontational. This in itself calls into question the level of commitment on the part of the viewer.


She was educated in South Africa and the unusual opportunity for world travel to exotic locations shaped the style that fuels her imagination. Her techniques and inspiration come from accumulated treasures of these travels, as well as from


an inherited collection of rare antiquities.


Thought provoking, entertaining and incisive, this not to be missed exhibition is open to the public from 7th to 17th from 9am to 9pm.
