FUN AND FELLOWSHIP

Middle school and high school youth had a blast this summer! Eighteen middle schoolers kicked off the summer lazily tubing down the Delaware River, and 17 ended the summer at Dorney Park. What did they do in between? Tey bowled, picnicked, engaged in meaningful Bible study, and played games like Ga-Ga, 9 Square, Werewolf, and Manhunt.

Twenty-two high schoolers and adult leaders enjoyed a daylong hike and the waterfalls at Ricketts Glen State Park and a movie at Becky’s Drive-In. Did they play, too? Yes! Eight high school youth spent a week diving deep into understanding what it means to find your own voice and hear the voices of others at the Montreat Youth Conference. And of course, it wouldn’t be summer without two staples: ice cream and VBS! Almost 50 youth helped at VBS Build Days and served as youth leaders for VBS, with its theme, “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” What a blessing these young people are to our faith community.

“[Our Bible study leader] really opened my eyes to a new way to read the Bible and what the Bible has in store for me as a

Christian.” —MACKENZIE MORGAN

Children and tweens had times of fun and fellowship, too! Tweens grilled hot dogs and played outdoor games and tried to go to Knoebels! When the weather didn’t cooperate, they had an indoor picnic and a great time playing Minute-to- Win-It and board games. Younger children and their parents enjoyed time getting to know each other better, too. While children played, parents chatted. Tey’re excited to build on their relationships this fall!
