Climate Justice Global Day of Action September 8

A

s part of the Rise for Climate Justice and Jobs global day of

action, a Climate Solutions Tour will be held in east Austin from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 8. T e tour will include visits to the La Loma Community Solar Farm, the Sustainable Food Center, and more. Led locally by Luke Metzger of Environment Texas, it will be one of thousands of events taking place worldwide to demand that local leaders commit to building a fossil-

free world and totally renewable energy that works for all of us. “A greener, healthier world requires each of us to do all we can to eliminate the

pollution and practices that are warming the planet and changing our climate,” Metzger says. “Together we can take concrete steps to move us closer to the world we want to live in, from promoting the fossil fuel divestment movement to accelerating the transition to cars that don’t pollute.” Environment Texas is a nonprofi t advocate for clean air, clean water and open spaces.
