CDEC has appointed Andrew Upton
as Business Devel-
opment Manager. He brings with him almost 10 years of experience in the AV sector, specialising in the design and installation of solutions across multiple sectors, including corporate, local government, defence, health education and places of worship.
In his new role, Upton is tasked
with looking after
CDEC’s non-educational cus- tomers. Upton said: “I am very excited to have joined an award-winning provider of au- dio visual solutions and share their passion for working with customers to make first class solutions.” Toni Moss, Managing Director at CDEC, said: “Andrew will be a great addition to the team. Mersive Technologies is signifi- cantly expanding its footprint in EMEA. It has hired the first two of a projected six-strong customer facing team in the re- gion, headed up by Jeff Meyer, General Manager, EMEA. It has also greatly expanded its distri- bution network with seven new partners in territories where it currently doesn’t have a direct presence.

Telestream has announced an expansion of its leadership team, following the creation of its two technology business units in January. Alistair Butler joins the company to serve as Chief Sales Officer, leading the sales organizations for the com- pany’s Media Production and Workflow business unit and its Video Quality Monitoring and Analytics business unit. “Telestream has become the de-facto standard for encod- ing, transcoding, automated workflow and video monitoring solutions. He joins Satore Studio from HARMAN International (the Samsung-owned audio tech- nology business) and Martin by HARMAN (a subsidiary of HAR- MAN International focusing on visual tech), where he held se- nior account manager/channel manager roles. He brings more than 10 years of experience to his role at Satore Studio, having worked on projects for the likes of Sadler’s Wells, the Royal Al- bert hall and Wembley Arena. He has also provided lighting solutions for the likes of Ice- landic avant-rock band Sigur Rós alongside Lighting Director Bruno Poet and Glastonbury’s John Peel stage with lighting designer Cate Carter.

Ken Gayron has joined Avid in the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Hoffman also recently completed a long-term appointment with the Interna- tional Communications Indus- tries Foundation Board and was inducted into SCN magazine’s Pro AV Hall of Fame.
