TALHFA’s 26th Annual Educational Conference at the Tranquil Hyatt Lost Pines Resort Will be An Event to Remember!


The 2018 Conference Planning Commit- tee has begun their process of selecting


topics and speakers for the upcoming Educational Conference, pulling together current and relevant sessions for YOU.


The Conference is for YOU so YOU should have a say in the planning process! So, what topics would interest YOU? What sessions would YOU like to see return? What challenges/solutions have not been covered – but should be? Who would YOU like to hear speak? Let us know by contacting the TALHFA office and your input will be passed on to the committee.


If you would like to join the Conference Planning Committee, it’s not too late. Contact the office and you’ll be added to the team.


Your Conference Committee is working on special events and keynote speakers. We will be inviting legislators and experts in the affordable housing profession. Additional details will be coming to you in July.


The pre-conference agenda will include the ever popular HFC BootCamp. HFC members, as well as Affiliate members will gain valuable information from some great speakers as well as each other.


The 86th Session of the Texas Legislature is right around the corner and we need to get ready! Todd Kercheval and friends will be joining us to share their legislative insight. We’re inviting TAAHP, Texas Apartment Association (TAA), Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the Rural Rental Housing Association (RRHA) for a Legislative Round Table. We’ll wrap up the conference with a sense of the issues on which we can collaborate at the Capitol.


Hyatt Lost Pines Resort & Spa is a unique venue and we want you to enjoy it. All events and receptions will be onsite. Our Welcome Reception on Monday and Networking Reception on Tuesday will offer a chance to mingle and explore the resort grounds. The Conference Committee is also planning some unique adventure op- tions. Stay tuned to see a list of choices with something to please everyone.
