Liskeard Show 2018 TERRIER RACING


Always a crowd puller and one of the funniest things you will see at the show. The Terriers (and other dog breeds) and their owners line up, a lure is set and the dogs are released. What happens next is often a frenzy, it’s fast, furious and often chaotic as the dogs chase the lure to the finish line. The first dog through the small hole in the hay bale is the winner. Several races for different size and breed dogs are organised so please bring your dog along and have a go – it’s free to enter on the day.


KERNOW Ky DOG AGILITY TEAM


They will be doing 2 displays during the day but they will also have a smaller ring at the show where they will encourage dog owners to take part in a mini dog agility course.


HORSE DRIVING


A beautiful array of horses and carriages which will be judged traveling around the ring.

Following the wonderfully received display last year of the Ford Tractors. This year’s tractor display will be something a bit different!


Music in the Bandstand


F


rom mid-morning local musicians will be performing in


the bandstand. The programme will include sessions from; the Luggers Uke Band, Liskeard Silver Band, Caradon Junior Strings,


Liskeard Male Voice Choir, The Westernairs and Just Us Quartet.


There is seating available near the bandstand where you can relax and enjoy the music before continuing to explore the show.

Margaret Cox from St Breward will be bringing her springer spaniels. They work on local shoots around the Bodmin area, and compete in field trials and tests country wide. She is an A panel judge and has qualified for the championships on several occasions. Margaret is also a committee member of the Cornwall Field Trial Society and will be running 2 springer spaniels at the show.


PARADE OF VINTAGE TRACTORS


Always popular with the crowd. The parade features various makes and models of tractors from the 1950s onwards
