Toronto’s Kafinal started his musical journey on the lovely island of Jamaica per- forming in church then schools and then eventually made his way on stage at com- munity events in Jamaica from his younger days.


Kafinal made his recording in 1987 called “Luv Yuh Suh.” That was recorded with Hard Bark Records which opened the door for Kafinal to be heard on the radio in Jamaica. From that point Kafinal shared with us that he continued to record sev- eral songs with Hard Bark Records until 2002 when he recorded track “Cooking Dat Pwile” for M-Pathic Records followed by a comedy orientd video that because viral on the radio topping many charts.


Kafinal made his mark with his appearance on many shows across the island such as Teens Splash in Ochio Rios which is one of his most memorable performances be- cause he shared the stage with other icons such as Sean Paul, Elephant Man, and, Assassin now know as Agent Sasco.


By the time Kafinal blazed the stage at Teen Splash his song was a house hold sen- sation and his career was well on it’s way to maximum altitude.


As for his musical career in Canada Kafinal shared with Island Beats Magazine that one of his most memorable moments was on stage at Jamaica Day 2012 be- cause the crowd was massive and his performance well received.


Kafinal was very passionate when he revealed with Island Beats that he is always grateful to his fans especially when they are touched by his songs and the lyrics within.


A few of his accomplishments since migrating to Canada he mentioned were being crowned Canada’s Festival King, his Juno Award winning in 2016, and also him being awarded Entertainer of the year as well.


We asked Kafinal if he was signed to a label and he educated Island Beats that he is an indie artist and that he also operates Sing N Act Entertainment from which he has produced songs such as Road Tonight, Crying Out For Love featuring leg- endary Yellowman, and Ken Boothe and his Juno Award winning track with Daddy U-Roy called Nah Complain.
