ORCHA News It’s hard to believe that the 2018 ORCHA

show season is almost upon us. We’ve had a slow start to being able to ride outside with this unforeseen winter-like weather, but hopefully by the time you are reading this, spring will have really arrived! We are gearing up for the 2018 season with an April and June clinic, and our first show on May 27th, at the Walker Farm in Richmond. Our April Herd Holding clinic is now full, but there are still spots available for the June 23rd Cow Horse clinic. If you are in- terested in reserving a spot, please contact Craig Black.

New in 2018: we are adding a Ranch Rid-

ing/Boxing class to our May and June shows. Also, we are going to be using 1 pattern per show for all classes on that show date (as op- posed to different patterns for different classes during each show). And, in an effort to provide rest time between classes for those competitors who have entered more than one class per show, we are changing the order of the classes. The new class order will be as follows: Limited Non- Pro, Non-Pro, Open Boxing, Youth, Green as Grass, Open, Intermediate Non-Pro, Novice Horse, and Ranch Riding. Herd Work to be held

at the end. As always, I would like to give a big thank

you to all of our sponsors, both old and new. The Ontario Reined Cow Horse Association is always looking for new sponsors. If anyone knows of someone willing to help with sponsor- ship, please let us know. Every little bit helps, and the association advertises its sponsors on our website (www.orcha.ca), ringside banners, our newsletter “The Chatter”, and “The Rider”. I’m looking forward to seeing you all dur-

ing the 2018 show season! Werner Bohner, President
