Retreat Center, located just north of Austin, is of- fering workshops and retreats on a private 15-acre picturesque horse ranch. T e month of May brings two opportunities to experience authen- tic connection and explore mindful- ness in a beauti- ful setting. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 12, Life Purpose—Exploring Your Soul’s Calling, Horses, Mindfulness and Nature will help attendees become engaged in the real world, rather than re- treating or hiding from it. T e workshop will combine life purpose activities, meditation and mindfulness, journaling, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a labyrinth walk, art and working with horses. Accessing Creativity Through Mindfulness, Horses, Creativity and Mindfulness in Nature, takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 19. The event will explore using mindfulness, focus and wakeful rest to bring out the creativity that lies in all of us. Participants will go on a guided painting journey intended to help find our true, creative voices through meditation, mindful movement, and time in nature with horses.
