Amid ongoing Brexit negotiations and an ever-evolving and, at times, uncertain business landscape it is arguably more important than ever that our region’s businesses are in a position to influence current and future business conditions – locally, regionally and nationally. Through its deep-rooted and strong relationships with key influencers and decision-makers from the East Midlands to Westminster, the Chamber is well placed to give members a voice and insight into the specific and general issues affecting business in the region.
Brexit
The UK leaving the European Union creates a series of challenges and opportunities for businesses of all sizes. Led by its Brexit Advisory Group, the Chamber has developed a range of events, training and workshops, helping members understand the latest implications and develop strategies for how they can respond to Brexit.
Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) QES is the biggest business survey of its kind in the East Midlands. Run in partnership with the School of Business at the University of Leicester, results provided by members help shape policy discussions locally, regionally and nationally and can be used by members to gain a competitive edge through the latest knowledge on how their local markets are faring.
Engaging decision-makers The Chamber is the number one facilitator of businesses engaging with key decision makers in the region. Whether addressing concerns to your local MP, engaging with Ministers in Westminster or getting the latest updates from the Bank of England, the Chamber provides you with these opportunities and more.
Sector Forums and Conferences The Chamber’s sector forums and conferences are aimed squarely at members from within the selected sector/discipline and provide presentations and discussion time on the key issues affecting your business. The forums are complimented by a series of milestone conferences and summits held across the year.
Campaigning
The Chamber runs a number of distinct policy campaigns through the year. Through a series of events, briefing papers and reports, it seeks to influence change and results in the key issues faced by members.
