GAS TURBINES 23
The MHPS H-25 is a heavy-
duty, highly reliable gas turbine designed for to cogeneration and combined cycle operations. Where a worksite might be
located far from the power supply system, several H-25 gas turbines can be used to form an island operation system - which still remains unconnected to the main power system. The H-25 Series gas turbines
are a heavy duty type which achieves high efficiency with heat recovery steam generators, as co-generation systems or combined cycle power plants. The H-25 Series features simple cycle gas turbine output of 41 MW and a combined cycle output of around 60 MW for a 1-on-1 configuration and around 120 MW for a 2-on-1 configuration.

When used in a cogeneration caopacity, they supply a maximum of around 70 metric tons of steam per hour. Features of the two 32MW
H-25 gas turbinesused in the Qingdao high-tech develop- ment zone include: * Heavy duty structure - a
highly reliable structure which allows ease of maintenance and long continuous operation; * High efficiency - high performance in various power generation cycles (simple, combined and cogeneration); * Fuel flexibility- they can run on natural gas, off gas, syngas, light oil, kerosene, bioethanol, etc. * Package type: Easy to
transport and install, says MHPS. A cogeneration plant
employing a H-25 Series gas turbine ‘produces the highest

steam supply volume in the turbine class and high thermal efficiency’, reports the manufacturer. The overall figures are as
follows:
H-25 used for cogeneration in Indonesia.
* Power Output - 39.6 MW * Heat Output - (6 MPa /
300°C) - 79 ton/h * Overall Efficiency (LHV) -
More than 80 % LHV.
