32MW H-25 gas turbines for CHP plant in Qingdao, China

Japan’s Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) supplied two gas turbines for a combined heat and power (CHP) plant in China. The 80 MW plant, which went online in December 2017, supplies power and industrial process heat to the Qingdao high-tech development zone/Hongdao economic zone in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, reports IPA.

M

MHPS provided the two 32MW H-25 gas

turbines for the Qingdao high- tech development zone/ Hongdao economic zone in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao through a local contractor - Harbin Guanghan Power Technology Development Co. The 9.8 square km industrial

zone is home to software companies including 13 Fortune 500 firms, as well as a national- level science and technology park. The project has been developed by Qingdao Energy Kaiyuan Thermoelectricity Co, a subsidiary of Qingdao Energy Group which is owned by the city's government.
