4.4TGM and E70 TAG3M the auxiliary power of choice for Guangdong Provincial Waterway


Perkins engine distributor, Foshan Sime Darby Elco Power Equipment Ltd, has received positive feedback from a key customer following the supply of four engines provided for Yue Biao (粤标) 1608 and four engines to Yue Dao Zheng (粤道政) 210 - both 10T crane vessels at 42m LOA, currently operating in the Pearl River Guangdong Province, reports IPA.

he 40 kW 4.4TGM provides power for the emergency generator, while


the three 120 kW E70 TAG3M engines provide the power for the prime generators when the vessels are in operation. The vessels are responsible for the installation and maintenance of navigation bea- cons and is the first govern- ment vessel Perkins engines have been involved with in mainland China. The auxiliary engines were selected for their high reliability, excellent low noise level, high power density, compact design and ease of installation. engines are manufactured in the company’s UK facility which has recently completed a £5 million upgrade and now incorporates a new administration building, engine production hall and warehouse.
