NCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING APRIL 26 REGARDING PROPOSED PROJECT TO WIDEN N.C. 8 (WINSTON ROAD) BETWEEN 9TH STREET AND BIESECKER ROAD (S.R. 1408) IN LEXINGTON, DAVIDSON COUNTY

The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to widen N.C 8 (Winston Road) between 9th Street and Biesecker Road in Lexington. Improvements proposed include widening to a four-lane divided roadway with a raised median, sidewalks and bike lanes.
The open-house public meeting will be held at the Smith Civic Center located at 217 S. Main Street in Lexington from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2018. The purpose of this meeting is to provide interested citizens the opportunity to review maps of the project, ask questions and provide feedback.
Interested citizens may attend at any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please note that there will not be a formal presentation. Maps of proposed improvements will be presented at the meeting and staff of NCDOT and the Consulting firm of SEPI will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
