The Haute Somme is a multi-facted region. It is both a high valley, where the River Somme meanders through beautiful green landscapes and is also a starting point for many pleasant walks and bike rides.


Our memories of the region’s history are awoken by a rich heritage and reconstructs faithfully the Battle of the Somme in 1916.


It is impossible to visit the region without visiting the Historial Museum of the Great War or going to the commemorative sites of the Remembrance Trail.


Péronne, Year of Australia: In a special line-up of events for 2018, the city of Péronne celebrates its liberation by Australian troops in September 1918.
