the streets, hallways, corridors, restaurants and bars for unique and exciting love stories as they unfold in real-world backdrops. 2018’s version features a gender- swapping storyline all wrapped in an extra comedic twist! Circle Circle dot dot’sSan Diego, I Love You series is all about site-specific moments and during this year’s version #SwipeRight, theatregoers journey with this troupe of thespians as they engage in a moving storyline as seen through the eyes of a bisexual woman, or a bisexual man. THE HILLCREST WIND ENSEMBLE The Art Of Music is the theme for Hillcrest
Wind Ensemble’s spring concert, which is taking place onSaturday, March 31, at the Creative, Performing and Media Arts School’s beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre at 5050 Conrad Avenue in Clairemont. The ensemble is under the direction of John Winkelman and will premiere last year’s winning compositions from the International Composition Contest. Works include “Mystic Mountain” by Mark Dal Porto from the United States, “The Hero’s Journey by Judda Viitaasari from Finland, and the West Coast premiere of “Wisconsin Watermusic” by San Diego composer and horn virtuoso, John Lorge, who will also pose as guest conductor for the piece. If by
chance you can’t make this initial performance, an encore presentation will take place onSunday, April 15 at the Chula Vista United Methodist Church, 1200 East H Street in Eastlake, for a “free will offering.” The 45-piece Hillcrest Wind Ensemble is a program of the LGBT Center in its 32nd year of performing and acting as musical ambassadors to the community as a whole.
