in this particular part of town, such as Grilled Spanish Octopus, Seven Spiced Moroccan Chicken Tagine, Paella-style Fideo Pasta, Tableside Asian Poke and Australian Hot Stone, Do-It-Yourself Grilled Steaks. When I brought up concerns that insideOUT may not be open in time for every Irishman’s favorite holiday, Lukas shrugged the detail off. Why? iO is not meant to be a let’s-get-drunk-rage-all-night kind of place. Will it serve alcohol? Hellur! After all, this is a gay/lesbian attraction in Hillcrest we’ve been discussing all this time. Yet, iO will be presented with a little bit more decorum than what all of we locals are used to seeing. That’s definitely not meant to throw shade at any of the other wonderful establishments Hillcrest has to offer. However, it can be argued that, until now, there was a bar in place to fit the needs of every individual across the spectrum. iO has, if you will, simply filled in the remaining gap for those who wish to broaden their horizons. Lastly, I was lucky enough to chat with the designer of insideOUT, Mike Burnett. Inspired by buildings commonly seen in Beverly Hills, Mike was quick and very passionate to state that not only did Hillcrest need something like iO, but that the city deserved it. And Boy George, was he right!

insideOUT is coming soon . . . Are you ready for it?

insideOUT is located at 1642 University Avenue, with a scheduled opening date slated for March 2018. For more information, go to facebook.com/insideoutsd.
