Launching Facilities A public slipway is located in Dartmouth alongside the Higher Car Ferry and in Totnes at the Rowing Club downstream from Steamer Quay. Harbour Dues are payable to the Harbour Office or River Officer. There are also private launching facilities at Darthaven Marina, Noss Marina and Blackness Marine. There are small slipways at Stoke Gabriel, Greenway Quay and Dittisham (a charge may be made).


Winter Berths Winter berths are available at various locations. Please contact the Harbour Office aſter July 1st register your interest.

Temporary Berths Temporary berths are sometimes available for waiting list applicants. Please register at the Harbour Office from January (for the following year – e.g. 2018 for 2019).

65 22 Dart Harbour Ch 11 DARTNAV Annual Moorings


Annual mooring holders are to berth in the location and manner as directed by the Harbour Office and terms and conditions.


If you wish to apply for an annual berth at Dart Harbour please contact the Harbour Office for an application form for the waiting list system.


Scrubbing Grid The main grid is located alongside the North Embankment and is under the control and management of South Hams District Council. A smaller grid is located in Kingswear (Hoodown) for vessels up to 10m max. Please book through the Harbour Office. This grid dries at 3m height of tide and is suitable for low draſt vesssels only.
