1ST (ROYAL) DRAGOONS OTHER RANKS 1871 HELMET PLATE, HORSE FURNITURE, STABLE BELT PLATE, the first of standard format the elongated brass star with white metal Garter Proper mount enclosing a brass ‘1’ on a ground of black leather; Victorian and Edwardian bit bosses, the Victorian issue with a Guelphic crown and central Royal Crest, the Edwardian with Imperial crown and similar crest (three fixings lacking); a brass circular harness slide with mounted Imperial Royal Crest and motto ‘Spectemur Agendo’; brass stable belt with anodised cap badge mount, good overall condition (5) £100-160

2ND DRAGOONS (ROYAL SCOTS GREYS) OFFICERS’ AND OTHER RANKS PLUME HOLDERS C. 1870 - 1954, comprising a Victorian period officer’s example the flame section of the grenade is retained by a bottom screw which would have tightened the plume itself, a post 1953 officer’s example complete with spring clip and long slider fastener, a Victorian period other ranks brass example complete with long slider and a similar example post-1952, one pair of wires lacking on the first item otherwise very good overall condition (4)

2ND DRAGOONS (ROYAL SCOTS GREYS) OFFICERS’ FUR CAP BADGES, POUCH AND SABRETACHE BADGES, HORSE FURNITURE C. 1880 - 1950, comprising a large gilt metal thistle spray (though listed for wear was seemingly never used), two Hanoverian White Horse back badges one hall marked silver Birmingham 1902 by Bent & Parker (now with pin fastener), the other in die stamped unmarked silver coloured metal; five Eagle badges the first in silver plate the screw posts removed from the flat pouch, the second in heavy die cast silver plate this with three loop fasteners, one die stamped gilded brass pouch or sabretache badge four loop fasteners, two die stamped brass versions each with four loop fasteners, two circular harness slides being brass with silver plated Eagle mounts forming a ‘facing pair’, damage to the ‘Waterloo’ scroll on one of the brass Eagle badges otherwise very good overall condition (10)
