6TH DRAGOON GUARDS (CARABINIERS) OFFICERS’ SABRETACHE BADGES AND HORSE FURNITURE, OTHER RANKS HELMET PLATES C. 1881 - 1914, comprising gilt brass sabretache badges QVC and KC, this pattern 1900 - 1901 only, two solid brass bit bosses Guelphic crown and Imperial crown both with title ‘Sixth Dragoon Guards’ enclosing crossed carbines, a solid cast unmarked silver QVC plate of similar outline to the sabretache badge but of smaller size (three original heavy gauge silver loop fasteners); 1871 pattern other ranks helmet plate of standard format being an elongated white metal star with brass Garter Proper overlay enclosing a white metal ‘6th’ upon a black patent leather ground, a very rare Foreign Service regimental helmet plate in two part gilding metal being an elongated star with Garter Proper centre enclosing a slip-over ‘6’; a large flat hall marked silver item (London no date letter) displaying the Imperial crown over crossed carbines unit title and number one screw post fastener soldered behind the crown, possibly taken from a piece of Mess furniture, wear to the central area of the first bit boss otherwise good overall condition (8)

7TH (THE PRINCESS ROYAL’S) DRAGOON GUARDS INSIGNIA C. 1890 - 1928, comprising an other ranks white metal cap badge with matching collars (first pattern), other ranks cap and two pairs of collars in gilding metal (second pattern) (the collars vary in that the central motto scroll is pierced), one only officer’s hall marked (Birmingham 1898) silver collar (first pattern), two officers’ gilt cap badges (second pattern) (one lug missing from one), one pair officer’s gilt collar badges, a second pattern o.s.d. cap and collars (two blades missing from the cap), an exceptionally rare pair of o.s.d. collars featuring the Ligonier crest but with full title scrolls ‘7th Dragoon Guards’; three shoulder titles ‘7DG’ (two), ‘DG’, excellent condition except where stated ( 21)

7TH (THE PRINCESS ROYAL’S)DRAGOONGUARDSOTHER RANKS 1871 PATTERNHELMET PLATE,OFFICERS’ POUCH BADGES ANDHORSE FURNITURE, the other ranks helmet plate of standard format, the elongated white metal star mounted with a brass Garter Proper and enclosing a white metal ‘7’ on a ground of black patent leather (top-most point of the star is weak), the badge from an officer’s pouch in die stamped copper gilt ‘PRDG’ two pierced loop fasteners (no gilt remains), an earlier pouch badge in cast brass being a princess’s coronet over ‘PRDG’ this mounted with ‘VII’ three pierced fasteners; a brass and white metal box pattern harness slide the mount being crowned oak sprays enclosing a circle ‘Princess Royal’s’ the domed centre reading ‘VII/DG’ (centre heavily worn), good overall condition except where stated (4)
