starlit walk in Rosedale As part of the Dark Skies Festival 2018, a guided walk and talk with experts on hand to help you learn about the history of the Ironstone Railway and the starlit dark skies above Rosedale. The walk is 3.5 miles, Level 3 and involves a fairly steep hill up to the Rosedale Railway. You are advised to have sturdy walking footwear, warm clothing, hat and gloves, waterproof jacket and a torch. Binoculars would be beneficial. Hidden Horizons Stargazing Part of the National Parks Dark Skies Festival 2018. Enjoy a guided tour of the night sky, focusing on objects that reside far away from Earth within our Milky Way galaxy and even beyond, best observed through a large telescope.
