Revisit Calgary's storied past

The largest collection of restored gas pumps in North America can be found here at the Gasoline Alley Museum.

museum. During the summer months, visitors can spend days exploring every corner of the park’s 127 acres, and find themselves wandering through four distinct time periods in western Canadian history. As a living history museum, guests get to do much more than just look at history; they get to experience it through touch, interac- tion and total immersion. Imagine boarding an antique steam train, and enjoying the view of wheat fields, live- stock and a street scene right out of a western movie flash past your eyes. Picture setting up your own tipi in the centre of a First Nations Encampment, or churning (and devouring) your own rich and creamy, hand-cranked ice cream on the porch of an historic ranch house. Tat’s just a taste of what summer at Heritage Park offers.
