SOLDER, FLUX & INSULATING PASTES
• Conditions for use: The powder should be mixed with water and a few drops of a liquid detergent to form a paste which should then be brushed onto the joint applied externally either side of the joint mouth.
It is good practice to mechanically clean and degrease Heat slowly and evenly to the brazing temperature, without local overheating.
How to use…
1. Mechanically clean and degrease the joint surface detergent to form a thick paste 3. Brush paste onto the joint surfaces before assembly and externally either side of the joint opening 4. Heat evenly to the brazing temperature, avoid localised overheating exhaustion abrasives and grit blasting

Easy-Flo Flux Powder has a working range of 550- 800°C. It is most suitable for use with gold, silver, copper, copper alloys, brass, mild steel and stainless steel, but not aluminium soldering. metal is heated above and distributed between (liquid US) temperature while protected by a suitable (known as wetting) and is then cooled to join the work pieces together. It is similar to soldering, except the °C.

Boric Acid Powder - Insultaing Use Boric Acid with Methylated Sprits (code C4357) to form a protective skin over pieces stain. A traditional favourite with Jobbing/Repairer Jewellers and Silversmiths (this method will only work with 9 -18ct jewellery and silver).
How prepare and use… • Clean the piece as you would before soldering and assemble.
• Mix with 1 litre of methylated sprits (code C4357/ C4358) and 150g of Boric acid in a glass or polyurethane container, with a lid.
• Depending on the size of the piece cover it entirely
• Heat all over with a torch to form a white coloured stain.
• Solder joins normally and clean the work as normal noticeably reduced.

Soldering Paste
Heat insulating paste for jewellers, goldsmith etc. It is no longer necessary to remove the stone before undertaking the solder. The parts protected by the paste never become covered with oxide and the heat will never reach the jewel. After soldering, the paste can be removed with water. If stored in a cool dry place this insulating paste will last you for years
