Electrolytic cleaning salts has been designed as a hot soak/electrolytic cleaner for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Designed to soften and loosen polishing compounds, to remove a wide variety of contaminants, including Lanolin based lubricants and to provide a good start to the cleaning cycle.

(VITEX SAFETY PICKLE) Vitex Safety Pickle Cleaning Salts
Function – used in conjunction with Electro Brightening Salts (C19822) to achieve chemical polishing on gold as a replacement to hand polishing, particularly in areas where physical polishing is impossible, i.e. Filigree work, inside stone setting and hallmarks. • Container – Polypropylene or glass • Anodes - stainless steel connect to negative out-put of D.C supply
• Temperature – 60-65°C • D C voltage – 18-22 volts • D.C Amps 4-22 volts per cm² (25-50 amps per inch²) • Time 5-20 seconds • Heater stainless steel or indirect (water jacket) Note: Heating must be thermostatic; solution deteriorates quickly over 65°C • Agitation- gentle horizontal movements
Add white powder pack to the required amount of distilled water, stir well to dissolve. Add black powder pack, stir well and heat to the recommended temperature.
Operation: Suspend articles on copper, brass or stainless steel jigs or racks. To prepare: Work should be electro brightened in Cousins Electro Brightening Salts (C19822) prior to Electro-polishing.
