the event was palpable as the students networked with potential employers and friends alike. As most of you know, one of the key objectives at the Investment Casting Institute is to ensure industry sustainability by attracting new talent to our foundries and industry suppliers. One of my favorite ways to do this is
R ®
ecently I attended the FEF/CIC Job fair in Chicago, Illinois. As in previous years, the energy at
by attending University job fairs. To interact with the young engineers, who are either on the cusp of graduation or in their final year is both rewarding and inspiring.
To have the opportunity to
introduce these young bright minds to the benefits of working in the Investment Casting Industry is uplifting to say the least.
One of my main roles at the job fair is to collect student resumes and
assure them that if one of our Member companies has an opening available for an intern or entry level engineer that they will be contacted. That is where you, our Member companies step in. Please remember that if you have an entry level position available or are in need of an intern that you check our Members only area of our website for student resumes.
