THE YEAR IN PHOTOS: 2017


Norio Chida, Technical Director of Japan High Comm Co., Ltd. has announced his retirement. He will remain available for technical assistance in Microwave shell drying for the investment casting industry.


The Integrated Casting Order Network (ICON) was created to reduce the cost and lead-time of castings. By creating a database of existing patterns and tooling referenced by National Stock Number (NSN), the ICON Portal can match procurement needs of metal castings coming from the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) to machine shops and foundries that have the existing patterns.


Missouri University of Science & Technology recently gave the ICI a tour of their foundry.
