CHRISTMAS COMES TO BOXPARK CROYDON THIS FESTIVE SEASON


An action-packed advent calendar of events including the official Christmas light switch on with Crystal Palace FC, wreath making masterclasses, Bjorn The Polar Bear, Christmas carols, and plenty of winter warming food and drink.


With Christmas just around the corner, Boxpark Croydon are decking the halls with an action packed season of festivities. Boxpark Croydon kicked off the season by welcoming down Crystal Palace FC to officially switch on the Christmas lights on 21st November. The rest of December will play host to wreath making masterclasses courtesy of Columbia Creative, free Christmas movie classics, Christmassy carols from the local Croydon choir, mulled wine in the Boxbar and plenty more merriment. Boxpark Croydon was the epicentre of South London’s Christmas celebrations this festive season. On Tuesday 21st November, Crystal Palace FC took over Boxpark in Croydon for the official Christmas light switch on. Visitors had the chance to meet Roy Hodgson, members of his first-team and teammates of the Crystal Palace Ladies team for autographs and pictures.


On Sunday 3rd December, Columbia Creative will bring their floral magic to Croydon with a wreath making masterclass in the morning. Guests will get the chance to moss their very own 12” wreath base and decorate with fresh mixed foliage and pinecones, perfect for any front door. Tickets cost £45 and are available here. Meanwhile, fully animated and amazingly life like pod puppet Bjorn The Polar Bear will offer families the chance to play with and

learn about the beautiful arctic animal. With blinking eyes, a sniffing nose, an opening and closing mouth and live polar bear sounds, Bjorn is an unforgettable and playful Christmas mascot.


Boxpark Croydon are also proud to welcome the Croydon Philharmonic Choir on the afternoon of Sunday 10th December, who will be providing a soundtrack to the day’s festive feel and singing Christmas carol favourites. Croydon Gospel Choir will also be popping down to Boxpark Croydon on Tuesday 12th, performing a Christmas Celebration Jam to put a different spin on traditional merriment. Both are best enjoyed with a warming cup of mulled wine served in the tinsel-clad BoxBar.


Friday 15th December hails the arrival of Christmas Jumper Day, where £1 of every purchase made by someone wearing a Christmas jumper will be donated to Save The Children. Meanwhile, the evening


of Sunday 17th December welcomes incredible tributes acts of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Luther Van Dross, and Frank Sinatra who will be taking to the stage for Blues Revolution: Groove Kitchen Christmas Jam.


From Monday 18th December until Wednesday 20th December, there will also be free screenings of a selection of classic Christmas movie favourites, including Miracle on 34th Street and Jingle All The Way.


Throughout the month of December, Boxpark Croydon will run their annual Digital Advent Calendar which will reveal a new prize every day in December. Tenants will also be running Christmas inspired specials and offers over the festive period, to keep up to date, keep your eyes peeled on Boxpark Croydon.
