Whether your child dreams of West End fame or simply wants a little drama in their lives, there’s a class out there for them! Here’s a round up of the latest news from your local theatre schools to help you choose the perfect one for your little star.
Your chance to perform
at the Olympic Stadium! Steppin Out is taking over the town! A brand new theatre school for children aged 3½ -18 recently opened in Wargrave and has been met with great enthusiasm! Together with branches in Wokingham and Woodley, Steppin Out is going from strength to strength. Over the past two years students have performed in Disneyland Paris, Formula 1 race day, Wembley Stadium and next year is no exception. On the 19th November, auditions will be held in Wokingham from 11am-1pm for the chance to perform at The Olympic Stadium in London at the Saracens vs Harlequins rugby match. Enjoy a lifelong love of dance with Pat Steel School of Dance
One of the county’s longest established dance schools has started this new academic year with a bang! Their ethos has always been to nurture and encourage children to achieve their potential whilst fostering a love of dance. Girls and boys start at age 3 and most stay until they leave for college, making lifelong friends along their journey. Go for a trial lesson and experience the atmosphere for yourself! Academy The Dani Harmer Academy is for children and young adults who want to develop their skills in performing arts, or simply want to gain confidence and life skills. The Academy offers a safe, friendly environment delivering drama classes and singing lessons through to dance workshops and more. Split into age groups, students can enjoy sessions on Saturdays at Edgbarrow School, Crowthorne during term time. Their students have many opportunities to perform including local events, tv, film and theatre and they are holding their next Summer Show on 8th July 2018 at Camberley Civic Theatre where every student gets to show off their skills!
