Follow Alby’s adventures in an enchanting family play
Reading Rep is delighted to present Alby the Penguin Saves Christmas as the perfect festive treat for families with children aged 3 to 6. Alby is a very special, snow-white penguin with a very important job to do. When Alby finds himself all alone at the South Pole he stumbles across Santa’s present list left behind in the snow. Can this very brave penguin save the day? Find out in this brilliant children’s play

at The Savill Garden The Savill Garden will offer free entry during the holiday season during December by welcoming guests to enjoy a number of festive Christmas activities for the whole family to enjoy. Children can look forward to the return of Horton’s Steam Fair and ride with glee on the two beautiful Edwardian
carousels for £2 per ride. Visitors can admire the colours, textures and scents throughout the Garden on the festive themed family trail with Christmas activities for children along the way for £3.50. After a walk through the Garden, children can have their faces painted in the Gallery Café and become magical Christmas fairies, elves and much more (£3.50 on 21st-23rd December & 27th December-1st January). Finally, join in the holiday cheer with live performances of songs of the season performed by local school children on 10th, 11th and 15th December. W:

Cliveden lets children discover
their wings! From December, Cliveden’s new Christmas trail offers little ones the opportunity to train at Angel Academy; a fun mission-style trail around the estate where children will complete tasks in order to graduate. They’ll learn how to ‘fly’, perfect their magic and complete other activities which, if successfully completed, they’ll be presented with their angel wings. Trails costs £5 per child and are free for accompanying adults (usual admission applies). The Christmas trail runs weekends in December and from Wednesday 20th December to Saturday 23rd December, from 11am to 2.30pm. Cliveden is open every day, all year round, only closing on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. W:

Nicholsons Shopping - the perfect destination
for the festive season! The Nicholsons Shopping Centre is the place for shopping in Maidenhead. As well as over 50 top shops, the Centre is also a great place to take the family - especially at Christmas! During the run up to the festive season, there will be the Christmas Lights Switch On and Christmas Market on Saturday 25th November and from that day and on Saturdays 2nd, 9th and 16th December, children can visit Santa for free in the Centre between 11am to 3pm.
