11th-19th November Where’s Rudolph? Kick start the festive-season in Newbury by taking part in the fantastic Reindeer Hunt which runs from Saturday 11th November until Sunday 19th November. Simply follow the festive reindeer trail around the town centre and you could be in with a chance of winning a ride in Santa’s sleigh during the parade on Sunday 26th November.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON AND SANTA PARADE
26th November Come along to Newbury Market Place where you can meet Santa in his grotto from 11am. From 12.30pm there will be live music on the stage in the Market Place, with performances from local acts such as the popular Sion Whiley and Paper Houses. The annual Santa Parade sets off from Market Street at 4.45pm and makes its way around the town and back to the Market Place, ready for the big Christmas Lights Switch-On at 5.20pm. The Artisan Market will be in Northbrook Street so come along and pick up some wonderful Christmas gifts.

For one night only many of Newbury’s shops will be open until 8pm, giving you the chance to do your Christmas shopping whilst enjoying carols and Christmas songs sung by local choirs and schools. There will be something for all of the family with children’s rides, roving entertainers, Christmas workshop and donkey rides, not forgetting the main man himself, Father Christmas who will be in his grotto.

Find his grotto by the entrance to Marks and Spencer in Parkway - on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December, and again from Thursday 14 until Saturday 23 December - before he has to nip back to the North Pole to load up his sleigh once more for his biggest delivery night of all on Christmas Eve.
